The Wasatch Online Marketing Association (WOMA) is a professional organization dedicated to strengthening the abilities, knowledge, and passion of online marketers.

WOMA began as an excuse to network and rant about work on company time, but got to the point where we decided formalize it. The official group started in the fall of 2005 and has grown to the point where we actually have made a difference in bettering the online marketing community across the Wasatch Front. (Or at least we like to think so.)

Who are we?

Since WOMA began as a group of friends that worked together, we have grown to include other coworkers, ex-coworkers, friends-of-friends, people we always wanted to meet, people we heard were cool, and even some people that came to present and asked to join.

Our group currently consists of over 50 people from 40 different companies. Some of us work for major corporations with in-house marketing departments, some are from agencies, and others work for themselves. The constant between us is that we do online marketing in one capacity or another.

What do we do?

Sharing information between those that have “been there, done that,” that “heard something about it,” and that “know someone,” is what it’s all about.

WOMA meets quarterly to discuss industry trends, developments, issues, tools, vendors, technology, and more. Each meeting features a topic within the online media scope, including a presentation by either a sponsoring vendor or one of our own. These presentations focus on a new products and services, case studies, etc. We also have lunch and socialize… of course.

How can I get involved?

If you are an online marketing professional in the Wasatch Front area (we are talking Provo-Salt Lake City-Logan) and want “in,” click here for more information.
